Heart Sistas, Inc. was born from lived experience, resilience, and a mission to change the conversation around heart health for women, especially those too often overlooked.
Founded by President Hyvelle Ferguson-Davis after her own life-altering cardiovascular journey, Heart Sistas was created in response to the gaps she experienced in awareness, early detection, access, and culturally competent care. What began as a personal challenge became a purpose-driven movement dedicated to education, prevention, advocacy, and community empowerment.
Today, Heart Sistas works to address heart health disparities impacting Black and Brown women through community education, emergency readiness training, health activations, and advocacy initiatives. Programs like the Sista Circle Community Education Series and CPR & Emergency Readiness Initiative equip women and families with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their health and save lives.
At our core, we believe every woman deserves access to the care, support, and information needed to live a healthier life because no woman should have to navigate her health journey alone.
Through advocacy, prevention, education, and meaningful connection, we continue to build a movement rooted in purpose and driven by impact — helping women of color and their families feel seen, supported, and empowered.
